Andrew John Fletcher (”Fletch”), s-a nascut pe 8 iulie 1961 in Nottingham, Marea Britanie. In adolescenta, Andy s-a mutat in Basildon, unde l-a intalnit pe Vince Clarke, alaturi de care a format “No romance in China”. In timpul concertelor sustinute in clubul Van Gogh, Fletch l-a cunoscut pe Martin Gore, care in acea perioada era implicat intr-un alt proiect, “Norman and the Worms”. Cei doi au devenit foarte buni prieteni, iar dupa ce Martin se alatura celor doi, trupa isi schimba numele in “Composition of Sound”. In 1980, este cooptat David Gahan , si ia nastere Depeche Mode…

Fletch este considerat liantul dintre membrii Depeche Mode, reusind sa-i tina impreuna timp de mai bine de 25 de ani. Mai mult decat atat, este si geniul din spatele succesului financiar al trupei: Andy a coordonat cel mai ambitios si profitabil turneu Depeche Mode, Devotional Tour din 1993. Pe plan discografic, Fletcher a inregistrat un album solo intitulat “Toast Hawaii”, numit astfel dupa felul preferat de mancare din cantina studioului. Inregistrat in perioada in care Depeche Mode lucra pentru “Great Reward” (1984), materialul cuprinde cover-uri interpretate chiar de Andy, acompaniat la pian de Alan Wilder si Martin Gore. Cand nu este ocupat cu turneele si sesiunile de studio alaturi de membrii Depeche Mode, Fletch isi dedica timpul activitatii de DJ, seturile sale - mix-uri de piese new wave, succese Depeche Mode si hit-uri electro - fiind deosebit de apreciate de public.
